Who I Help

I’m a LGBTQIA+ and relationship affirming therapist with a passion for people and a unique approach that blends genuine connection with playful exploration. My therapy space is designed to be a sensory-friendly, supportive environment where you can unmask and truly be yourself. I focus on neurodivergence, anxiety disorders, and trauma/stress-related disorders, using techniques like DBT skills, mindfulness, and somatic practices.

I am also a therapist passionate about helping youth and young adults become more secure in their identities while recognizing their impact on the world around them. My priority is to create a safe, respectful, and honest environment where you feel heard and valued. In our work together, I act as a support, and you set the pace and direction of your journey.

Adolescent / Young LGBTQIA+ Identity Development

Imagine stepping into a space where you’re free to be 100% yourself—no filters, no pretenses, just you. That’s what I’m all about! I’m here to be your biggest cheerleader, your co-explorer, and sometimes, your reality-check buddy (in the kindest way possible). Expect me to show up with enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and a genuine interest in who you are and where you want to go. Together, we’ll tackle those identity questions, with plenty of room for both deep conversations and light-hearted moments.

I love bringing together different approaches to create a therapy experience that’s totally you! With EMDR resourcing, we’ll tap into your inner strengths to help you stay grounded and resilient, even when things get tough. Somatic practices will get us in sync with your body’s signals, helping you release tension and reconnect with yourself. DBT and mindfulness will equip you with practical skills to manage emotions, stay present, and find balance in your daily life. And if you’re up for it, we’ll explore some of those big, existential questions that can lead to powerful insights and growth.

Think of me as your guide on this wild journey of self-discovery. My approach is super collaborative—I’m not here to tell you who you are; I’m here to help you figure that out for yourself. We’ll explore everything that makes you "you", from your relationships and environment to your inner world and dreams for the future. I get that adolescence and young adulthood are full of unique challenges, so I’m here to make sure you feel supported, understood, and hope to share in humor along the way (I try not to take things too seriously).

I’ve navigated the challenges of coming out as queer later in adulthood and diagnosed as neurodivergent. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about supporting adolescents in unmasking from external pressures and standards to unleash their full potential. I know how liberating it can be to step into your true self, and I’m here to help you do just that—so you don’t have to wait until later in life to feel that freedom. We’ll work together to create a space where you can explore who you are without the weight of others’ expectations holding you back.

Neurodivergence

When we work together, you can expect me to create a space where you can truly be yourself—no masks, no pretense. I’m all about authenticity and understanding, so you’ll see me being real and transparent in our sessions. My office is equipped with fidget toys and crafting supplies because I know that sometimes we all need a little extra sensory support to stay grounded. I’m here to support you in unmasking as needed, and I’ll be doing the same, so we can both engage fully in our work together.

I use a blend of techniques tailored to neurodivergent needs and co-occurring anxiety and depressive disorders. Somatic practices help us tune into and address the body’s responses. . DBT skills are integral for managing emotions, developing coping strategies, and enhancing interpersonal effectiveness. Mindfulness helps with staying present and grounding oneself, while existential approaches allow us to explore and find meaning in your unique experiences.

My approach is all about creating a space where you feel safe to explore and express your true self. I understand that neurodivergence comes with its own set of unique experiences and challenges, and I’m here to support you in navigating those with sensitivity and respect. Whether we’re addressing co-occurring anxiety or depression or simply finding ways to embrace your neurodivergent traits, my goal is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment. We’ll work together to tailor our sessions to fit your needs, using a range of tools and techniques that help you feel comfortable and empowered.

My journey with neurodivergence (ADHD / OCD) has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and strengths that come with it. I’ve experienced the ways in which neurodivergence often intersects with anxiety and depressive disorders, and this personal insight informs my approach as a therapist. I know first hand the importance of creating a space where you can unmask and be yourself fully. That’s why my office is filled with fidget toys and crafting supplies—because I believe in making our space as supportive and accommodating as possible. I’m here to navigate these experiences with you, using my own journey to guide and support you in finding your own path to self-acceptance and growth.

PTSD & Stress-Related Disorders

When we work together, you can expect me to bring a warm, grounded presence into the room. I’m here to really see you and listen deeply to your experiences. My focus is on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your trauma at your own pace. Whether we’re working through intense emotions or finding ways to build resilience, I’m right there with you.

I use a blend of approaches that are especially effective for working through trauma. EMDR resourcing is a key tool, helping you access your inner strengths and resources so you can stay grounded and safe as we explore difficult memories. Somatic practices allow us to work with the body’s natural responses to trauma, releasing stored tension and reconnecting with a sense of calm. DBT and mindfulness provide practical skills for managing overwhelming emotions and staying present in the moment, while existential approaches help you find meaning and purpose even in the midst of challenging experiences.

My approach to therapy is all about creating a partnership where you feel supported and understood. I know that working through PTSD can be incredibly challenging, so I make sure to move at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll focus not just on the trauma itself but on building the resilience and strengths that can help you navigate life more confidently. Whether we’re diving into EMDR, practicing mindfulness, or exploring how trauma has impacted your sense of identity, my goal is to help you heal and grow in a way that feels authentic and empowering.

What Can You Expect?

I am deeply passionate about people and the power of genuine connections. My
approach is centered around creating a space where you feel truly seen and valued. I believe in the transformative power of authentic connection and community, and I’m committed to fostering an environment where we can both celebrate your uniqueness and build a meaningful therapeutic relationship.

I have a naturally playful spirit and I'm committed to making play a part of the
therapeutic process. Play isn’t just for kids— I believe it's a vital part of our growth and healing journey. It helps us tap into our innate creativity, reduces stress, and makes the therapeutic process more engaging and enjoyable. I’m passionate about integrating play into our sessions to help you rediscover joy, resilience, and a sense of exploration in your life. Together, we’ll create a space where fun and discovery are as important as reflection and healing, allowing you to approach life’s challenges with renewed energy and perspective.

I see therapy as a collaborative journey where we connect on a human level, and I’m excited about the opportunity to work with you in a way that feels empowering and supportive. I’m driven by the belief that by nurturing individuals and creating strong, empowering connections, we can make a positive impact that extends beyond just our sessions—it ripples out into the wider community and humanity as a whole.

Our time together is precious, and I’m dedicated to making it a space where we honor your individuality, celebrate your journey, and work together towards a fulfilling and connected life. Let’s make the most of our time, creating a community of understanding and empowerment that enhances your growth and celebrates who you are.
