Come Build

With Us

Whatโ€™s Next

Weโ€™re still here. And weโ€™re building it better this time.

Letโ€™s not dance around it.

Open Space came to a hard stopโ€”not because the mission failed, but because our leadership and our team hit a wall. A public lawsuit reshaped the narrative almost overnight. And we know what it looked like from the outside.

Clinicians left. Trust was shaken. Questions were, and are, valid. And for a while, we went quietโ€”because we needed to figure out how to rebuild in a way that is intentional and authentic, without pretending nothing happened.

What weโ€™re doing now isnโ€™t a rebrand.
Itโ€™s a commitment to truthโ€”and to building a practice that can actually hold the weight of what weโ€™re here to do.

The future of Open Space starts here.

With you.

Open Space isnโ€™t trying to bounce back to โ€œwhere it wasโ€. Itโ€™s not scrambling to recover.

Itโ€™s a conscious, intentional rebuild from the inside out. With clearer systems. Grounded leadership no longer living in survival mode. Realigned values. And an even deeper commitment to the mission that launched Open Space in the first place:

To create affirming, equity-rooted mental health care that never asks anyone to shrink or mask to belong.

Weโ€™re not trying to fix the optics, rush a rebuild, or pretend this is just a โ€œnew chapter.โ€

What weโ€™re doing is slower. More intentional. And, honestly, more meaningful.

At Open Space, we believe this work is sacredโ€”and that the people doing it deserve care, too.

Our mission is to inspire unapologetic authenticity, dismantle barriers, and create lasting impact for our clients, our staff, and our communities.

This isnโ€™t just a job. Itโ€™s a community. Itโ€™s a shared vision for what mental health care can look like when we center liberation, equity, and collective well-being.

We built Open Space because we were done with workplaces where burnout was normalized, authenticity had a ceiling, and therapists were praised for sacrificing themselves. Instead, weโ€™ve built a workplace rooted in equity, flexibility, transparency, and care. We're not here to recreate the same systems that burn clinicians out. We're here to disrupt them.

If youโ€™ve been looking for a workplace where you donโ€™t have to compartmentalize your values, your identities, or your needs โ€” you may have just found it.

Current Openings:

Licensed Therapist
(LPC, LCSW, LMFT)

We know how it looks from the outside.

No clinicians listed. A well-known practice in the middle of a rebuild. A founder who f*cked up and has been through it publicly. A team that chose to move on.

If youโ€™re asking, โ€œWhy the hell would I walk into that?โ€--youโ€™re not wrong to wonder.

So, why would you want to join now?

Who Weโ€™re Building This For

Weโ€™re not hiring in bulk. Weโ€™re not rushing to fill seats. Weโ€™re building slowly, intentionally, and with a deep sense of responsibility.

If you:

  • Are values-aligned, self-aware, and relationally grounded.

  • Believe that therapy should affirm identity, context, and systemsโ€”not ignore them.

  • Want structure without micromanagement, support without over-functioning.

  • Have outgrown performative clinical spaces.

  • Arenโ€™t afraid to step into something real, imperfect, purpose-driven, and ready for growth.

  • Care about working somewhere thatโ€™s not afraid to evolve.

  • Feel most at home in honest, human spacesโ€”not shiny ones.

  • Would rather join at the beginning of something meaningful and exciting, than jump into something performative.

โ€ฆthen you might just be exactly who weโ€™re looking for.

This version of Open Space will feel right to clinicians who have walked through their own quiet turning points.

Clinicians who arenโ€™t scared off by imperfection.

People who have lived through a few hard pivots of their own.

People who understand that real leadership isnโ€™t always tidyโ€”but can appreciate when itโ€™s honest.

This Space Might Be for You If:

  • You see therapy as a tool for healing and resistance.

  • You want to be part of something that feels like alignment โ€“ not just employment.

  • You value collaboration and structure, but need your autonomy.

  • Youโ€™re done downplaying your values in order to be โ€œprofessional,โ€ and want to work for a practice that refuses to stay โ€œneutralโ€.

  • Youโ€™re seeking a workplace that names oppression and believes systems impact wellness.

  • You believe care should flow in all directions, not just to clients.

  • You want to do work that feels meaningful without sacrificing your well-being.

Weโ€™re Looking For Clinicians Who:

  • Are fully licensed (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of Pennsylvania.

  • Care deeply about equity and affirming care.

  • Practice from a liberation-focused, justice-informed, antioppressive lens across identities and lived experiences.

  • Have a strong desire to work with marginalized populations, and have previous relevant lived or professional experience.

  • Are seeking full-time employment, preferably (25 billed sessions/week). Part-time requirement is 12+ billed sessions/week.

  • Are willing to commit to two evening sessions (6pm or later) per week or two weekend sessions per week.

  • Can appreciate that we are not perfect, but we are transparent and intentional.

  • Want to grow with a practice long-term, not just pass through.

We especially value experience and passion in the following areas:

  • LGBTQIA+ affirming and competent therapy

  • BIPOC mental health and racial identity work

  • Ethical non-monogramy, kind, and sexuality-affirming therapy

  • Neurodivergent affirming and competent therapy

  • Trauma-informed, social justice-oriented, identity-focused care

  • Marginalized communities underserved by traditional therapy spaces

  • Systems-aware therapy grounded in equity and relational healing

  • Clients who have felt like outsiders elsewhere and never quite fit in more traditional practice spacesโ€”and are tired of trying

Weโ€™re slowly building a new clinical team from the ground upโ€“and weโ€™re not rushing to get there just to fill seats.

Weโ€™re hiring licensed clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.) who feel aligned with this momentโ€”not just the job description.
