Come Build
— With the Support You’ve Been Missing.
What’s Yours
We’re still here. And we’re building it better this time.
Let’s not dance around it.
Open Space came to a hard stop—not because the mission failed, but because our leadership and our team hit a wall. A public lawsuit reshaped the narrative almost overnight. And we know what it looked like from the outside.
Clinicians left. Trust was shaken. Questions were, and are, valid. And for a while, we went quiet—because we needed to figure out how we wanted to rebuild, in a way that is intentional and authentic, without pretending nothing happened and leaning into what we’ve learned over the past 7+ years.
Rebuilding gave us something most people never get: a blank slate. We weren’t tied to old systems, outdated models, or inherited expectations. We had the chance to rethink everything—from how support is offered, to how sustainability is built in.
So that’s what we did.
Now, we’re rebuilding as a multi-disciplinary, fiercely affirming, values-aligned wellness hub with built in business coaching—uniting diverse providers with shared values all under one roof.
A wellness hub for providers who want more: more freedom, more alignment, more impact—without sacrificing connection, personalized support, their values, or themselves.
Where clinicians and wellness providers operate like entrepreneurs—with a backbone of collective momentum and built in business mentorship support.
Where providers can do autonomous work in a space that affirms who they are, creates a safe space for their clients, and amplifies what they’re building.
Learn more about the driving force behind our most ambitious chapter yet.

Early Onboarding
The moment your offer letter is signed, you don’t just get a welcome email—you get a head start.
We know the credentialing process takes time. We know building a caseload can feel like a black box. And we know most 1099 clinicians are left completely on their own to figure it out.
Not here.
We’ve built an early onboarding experience that lets you start strong—without doing the heavy lifting yourself.
This phase is 100% optional (because, of course, you’re 1099—and we know some folks will prefer to do this themselves!), but highly encouraged—and totally free.
Here’s what this phase offers:
Insurance Credentialing
You’ll get a secure, streamlined form to fill out—all the info we need to get your credentialing process started right away.
Then? We do the credentialing for you.
Yes—we actually complete your CAQH profile and the applications, and submit them on your behalf.
This is unheard of in most 1099 models, but here, we believe your energy is better spent prepping to be a badass, impactful boss—not drowning in CAQH updates and insurance portals.

Brand, Voice + Ideal Client Discovery
(We help you be found!)
You’ll receive an optional, user-friendly questionnaire that helps us get to know:
Your ideal clients
Your therapeutic approaches
Your tone, values, and presence in the therapy room
What makes you stand out—and what kind of clients you’re most aligned with
We’ll then draft two powerful pieces of visibility content for your review and approval:
A branded Psychology Today profile that actually converts (we have it down to a science!)
Your Open Space website bio, optimized for SEO and aligned with your tone and client fit
Want to write your own from scratch instead? Totally fine—this offer is just here if you want the support!
We Start Marketing You—Right Away
We don’t wait for your first client to walk through the door.
As soon as you opt into early onboarding, we start:
Featuring you on our social media and referral channels
Including you in client matching conversations
Talking about your expertise and clinical vibe with prospective clients, internal team members, and referral sources
Our goal?
Get you credentialed, visible, and client-ready by the time your office keys hit your hand.

No more Googling, guessing, or doing it alone.
We start building—together—from day one.

1-3 Day Business Onboarding Intensive
Let’s be honest: Most people are thrown into private practice with nothing but a login and a prayer.
Not here.
This in-person (or virtual, if you prefer) 1–3 day Business Onboarding Intensive is designed to take all the scary, piecemeal parts of starting a business and make them simple, strategic, and fully customized to you. Before you ever see your first client, we’ll set up the structure, systems, and support you need to launch with confidence—not chaos.
Here’s how we do it:
01
Banking & Business Setup
Sometimes these very first steps are the scariest. In the Onboarding Intensive, we will:
Help you open your business bank accounts (we’ll walk you through choosing which ones to open and why, and how to utilize them)
Walk through how to keep your personal and business finances separate, and what counts as a business expense
Assist with any needed registration (EIN, business name, NPI, etc.)
Optional walkthrough of bookkeeping tools, and best practices
Profit First for Therapists
Based on Julie Herre’s book, Profit First for Therapists (which Sam also utilizes herself), we’ll create a customized Profit First spreadsheet to help you:
Know exactly how much to save for taxes so you are NEVER left scrambling
Set aside income for guilt-free time off and planned breaks
Build a REAL income strategy that aligns with your life—not just a caseload requirement
Learn how to use income percentages to stabilize your finances with your fluctuating private pay income (so you’re not in survival mode during slow weeks!)
Demistify how to prep for taxes, handle write-offs, and stop being afraid of “the business stuff”
02
03
Systems, Scheduling & Intake Flow
Get support in setting up your ideal schedule, calendar, availability, and workflows
Customize your client onboarding process step-by-step including what forms, paperwork and assessments are important to you for new intakes, how and when to communicate with new clients, etc.
Build your customized cancellation policy, sliding scale policy, communication boundaries, and scheduling practices based on what actually works for your values and your income goals—not just what “you’re supposed to do”
Malpractice Insurance
Get step-by-step support securing your own malpractice insurance, including what to look for, how to apply, and which options are most commonly used by private practice clinicians.
04
Health Insurance
If you need health insurance—don’t panic. We’ll walk you through the Healthcare Marketplace, demystify the process, and help you explore plans that make sense for your income and needs. (And it’s more affordable than you may think!)
05
Pricing, Time Off, and Guilt-Free Boundaries
Set a fee structure that supports your financial goals and sustainability (not just what you “think people will pay”), and templates for how to communicate this with your clients
Talk through how to develop your ideal schedule that supports whatever season of life you are in, and how take time off without guilt or panic
Get language and templates for rate raises, cancellation reminders, and boundary-friendly communication
06
No fluff. No overwhelm.
Just clarity, systems, and real support.

Built-In Coaching & Strategy Support
You know therapy. But grad school never taught you how to run a business, manage your income, set scheduling and financial boundaries without straying from your values, or price your worth.
That’s why this level of support exists. Built-in coaching gives you regular access to strategy, structure, and sanity—without having to go searching or spiral alone.
When something doesn’t feel aligned or sustainable, we’ll brainstorm ideas, rework your schedule, talk through mindset spirals, map out offerings, or walk through your numbers step-by-step—without shame or jargon.
Here’s what that support looks like:
01
1:1 Coaching with Sam
Access to ongoing 1:1 coaching with Sam, included in your split—no red tape, no extra cost.
In addition to recurring 1:1 coaching (if you’re into that!), you get easy booking through Sam’s Calendly to conveniently schedule whenever you need support.
You bring what’s on your mind and we tackle it: pricing, burnout, boundaries, caseload issues, systems overwhelm, referrals—we dig in, we strategize, and we fix it.
Real Strategy, Not Fluff.
Sam brings over 7 years of experience leading a multi-million dollar a year practice and mentoring therapists, CEOs, and solo private practice owners, and group practice owners.
Get actual solutions—not just vague encouragement or “charge your worth” mantras.
Expect transparent, anti-hustle coaching rooted in equity, sustainability, and your actual goals.
02
03
Monthly Group Coaching
Optional but powerful space to connect with other 1099 clinicians building affirming spaces alongside you.
Topics can vary: pricing psychology, time management, launching groups, client retention, boundaries, burnout-proof scheduling, and more
Collaborative, real-time learning without competition
In-Person Strategy Days
Hit a wall that needs more than a Zoom call? You’ll get in-the-trenches support, if you need it.
We’ll meet in the group room, toss our shoes off, order takeout, and spend the day tearing apart your barriers and rebuilding your flow—together.
04
Shared Google Calendar (Preloaded for Your Sanity)
We won’t just help you set up systems—we help you sustain them.
You’ll get access to a pre-loaded Google Calendar that includes:

Suggested admin days, spaced throughout the year so you don’t fall behind
Annual renewal reminders (liability insurance, license, NPI, etc.)
Optional marketing timelines (to plan newsletters, Psychology Today boosts, etc.)

You—and your clients—deserve a space where your business and your nervous system can breathe.
You’ve worked in offices and been in business spaces where you couldn’t exhale. Where the waiting room didn’t feel safe. Where staff didn’t ‘get’ your clients—or you.
This isn’t just about business—it’s about finally being surrounded by people who get it.
No more wondering if your colleagues are safe. No more sidestepping microaggressions in the name of “professionalism.”
Here, we screen for alignment.
We center justice.
We protect each other.
In our space, you get:
Office Space
Shared Therapy Office
A cozy, intentionally designed, fully furnished, shared therapy office
We work hard to assign you the same office each time you’re onsite for consistency, comfort, and routine

24/7 building access for providers (excluding times when your shared office is in use)—whether you forgot your charger, need to grab something, or want a quiet spot for admin work
06
No awkward room swaps. No “Where am I supposed to go?”
Just smart systems, cozy and affirming spaces, and a setup that supports your flow.

Collective Safety. Shared Values. Unmatched Impact.
Imagine walking into your office knowing everyone in the building affirms your clients’ identities, values your work and your identities, and has your back. That’s not a fantasy—it’s how we built this.
In a time where safety is especially under attack, this place is a protective, powerful collective.
This isn’t just a workspace—it’s a radical departure from the norm. In a world where providers are often isolated, code-switching, or quietly enduring microaggressions just to get through the day, this space is different.
Here, your values aren’t just tolerated—they’re the foundation. Your full self isn’t just welcomed—it’s expected. And your clients? They get to walk into a building that feels safe because everyone inside actually gets it.
We don’t just rent out office space. We build intentional containers for healing—for providers and clients alike. Every provider under this roof has been intentionally chosen because they understand what it means to hold space with integrity.
Screened for Alignment
Every provider here is vetted for shared values, a commitment to deeply affirming work, and a no-bullshit approach to inclusion that goes beyond checkbox allyship. We’re not interested in tolerance—we demand alignment.
No weird vibes. No side comments. No ‘educating your colleagues.’ No wondering if they’re safe. Shared values and affirmation is the baseline, not the exception.
You get to show up fully—and so do your clients. If you’ve ever felt ‘other’ in your workplace, this may be for you.
Shared values make business feel safer, smoother, and more aligned.
01
A Building That Gets Your Clients
Your clients don’t have to brace themselves walking into the waiting room. From intake to exit, your clients are met with care—not confusion or fear.
Clients can feel the difference. Every provider under this roof affirms who they are, without exception
Safety isn’t reactive—it’s proactive and intentional. Harm, in any form, has no place here.
02
We Don’t Do Neutrality Here
We name harm. We call in. We don’t stay silent to keep the peace.
We don’t dilute our values for comfort or optics.
We don’t “agree to disagree” about rights, identities, or safety.
We stand firm—and you don’t have to do it alone.
03
No mask-wearing. No shrinking. No dodging microaggressions.
Just space to show up fully, and do the work you love to do—without worrying about safety and harm.

Who This Model Is Built For
We’re not building fast. We’re building right.
This isn’t about filling rooms or growing just to grow.
It’s about creating a unique space that attracts the kind of clinicians who want to build something with integrity, autonomy, and backbone—alongside providers who are values-aligned and just as committed to affirming care.
If you:
Are values-aligned, justice-driven, self-aware, and grounded in both your clinical work and your humanity.
Believe therapy and wellness work should affirm identity, disrupt harmful systems, and hold real-world context.
Want structure, mentorship, and strategy—without being micromanaged or parented.
Are ready to shift from compliance culture into something spacious, entrepreneurial, and real.
Feel like you’ve outgrown the rigidity, politics, or posturing of agency and group settings.
Are craving honest conversations about money, time, growth, and what your work actually costs you.
Would rather be part of something in its early stages—with heart, vision, and room to evolve—than plug into something performative or over-polished.
Want to build a business that works for your life—not a life that bends around your business.
…then this might be exactly where you’re meant to land.
Here’s How We Invest in Your Success
You’re not just getting an office.
You’re stepping into a mentorship-driven experience built for business-minded, values-aligned clinicians who want to grow on purpose.
What you can expect:
A deeply affirming culture rooted in equity, transparency, and relational safety—no code-switching, no emotional labor to “earn” your belonging.
A space where your voice is heard, your identities are honored, and your full humanity is expected, not tolerated.
A steady stream of aligned referrals and full support in building a caseload that actually works for your life and your goals.
A founder who’s more committed to sustainable, values-aligned growth than performative scale or hustle culture.
Built-in business mentorship: 1:1 coaching, onboarding intensives, templates, and systems to help you grow your private practice with clarity and ease.
A culture of honesty, reflection, mutual care, and real feedback—not performative positivity.
