Who I Help

I'm a LGBTQIA+ and relationship affirming (i.e. CNM) therapist. I have a true passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community, and anyone who feels "other".

I want you to bring your FULL self into our space.

I specialize in helping those struggling with LGBTQIA+ related concerns, gender identity and sexuality, anxiety and panic, grief, women's issues. I also enjoy working with folks struggling with issues surrounding addiction and substance abuse, adoption, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), chronic illness and pain, codependency, depression, marriage/separation/divorce, interpersonal violence, relationship identity/exploration (i.e. CNM, open relationships), infertility, infidelity, eating disorders (bulimia, anorexia, and general disordered eating), family conflict, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress management, trauma, racial identity, parenting, life transitions, and attachment issues.

What Can you Expect?

I am not an expert because I haven't lived your experiences. I try my best to embody the idea of "fellow traveler". I don't have all the answers, but I want to help along the journey of finding whatever the answer is for you! I am a cis, white, bisexual female, and I am able to bring lived experience into the room whenever it is appropriate (and when I have permission). I'm also able to readily identify the areas in which we may not have shared lived experience, and I'll never assume our stories are the same. (Because they never are.)

I love learning about others' perspectives, and I have always enjoyed deep, existential conversations. Therapy is one of the few places where deep, emotional, and sometimes painful conversations are expected and embraced. I enjoy connecting with people on this level, and being a safe person for people to share their lows and highs with--and everything in between

I have a deep interest and emphasis on insight, calmness in the face of crisis, and silence. I like to give your disclosures a lot of space to breathe.

You can expect me to utilize humor, contemplative silence, object manipulation (aka fidgeting), a calm and quiet tone of voice, encouragement, and collaboration.

When I'm not at Open Space CCW, you may also find me...

Watching Marvel movies, shopping and caring for my plants, cooking something new, singing in my kitchen, and thrift shopping.
