Who I Help

I’m a LGBTQIA+, ENM relationship, and kink affirming therapist. I love supporting folks surrounding gender identity, sexuality, body image / fat acceptance, ENM relationships, kink, PTSD and trauma, neurodivergence, family conflict, and stress management.

I believe that therapy doesn’t have to be complicated. As a client, you can expect to highlight your strengths, speak to your individual experience in a non-judgmental environment, receive unconditional support from someone you trust, and learn new ways to lessen your pain. I am trained in various traditional therapeutic interventions; I also have experience integrating unique experiences such as self-esteem and compassion, healthy relationships, kink and poly-friendly, spirituality, and diet culture recovery / fat liberation.

Healthy Relationships, Non-Monogamy, & Kink
Building and maintaining relationships (romantic, platonic, familial) are crucial to having a fulfilling life. I can teach you how to find and grow healthy relationships, with those in your life - including your relationship with yourself! I approach relationships with an open mind and a non-judgmental perspective, especially with clients who participate in kink and non-monogamous relationships. I am informed by the Gottman Method but approach each client's situation with the knowledge that everyone's unique situation deserves individualized care. In my own life, I have practiced non-monogamy for over twelve years.

Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma can affect so many areas of our lives. As your therapist, I honor your unique experiences - how those traumas inform how you see the world and interact with others. I believe that we are not just our diagnoses or symptoms, but people who are doing our best to navigate a challenging and sometimes hurtful world. I can help you learn coping strategies for difficult emotions, how to communicate your needs with others, and how to care for yourself as best you can.

LGBTQIA+
As a queer individual, I understand that every person within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum is unique. Within our therapeutic relationship, I welcome you to be your most authentic self and celebrate You in your entirety. Together we can explore your gender identity, your sexuality, your politics, and your relationships. To thrive as a queer person is an act of rebellion, and I'm here to compassionately support you through that fight.

What Can You Expect?

Being a therapist is all I’ve ever wanted to do. It brings together my three greatest passions: human nature, relationships, and learning. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to help others with their emotional, mental, and social stress. Along with my education and formal training, I inform my practice with my lived experiences as a queer, fat, neurodivergent, intersectional feminist. I recognize that many therapeutic approaches and ideologies (e.g. CBT) have harmful origins and histories. This is a significant reason for why I do not specialize in any particular treatment model.
Humans are complex and our healing paths should be just as varied, with respect to all identities and experiences.

One of the greatest joys I witness in therapy with my clients is when they feel empowered to make brave and positive changes. It can be scary to change careers, leave an unhealthy relationship, or present your gender in a more genuine way. I'm here for all of it, cheering you along the whole way!

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my loved ones and pets, teaching myself a new creative hobby, moving my body with joy, or listening to an audio book.
