OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

At Open Space CCW, we view our interns as our colleagues. We value your contributions to our team, and want you to actively participate and get the most you can out of your experience.

Much like our overall practice mission, the mission of our Internship Program is to eliminate fear of judgment as a barrier to growth and wellness--both personally and professionally. We want our interns to arrive as their AUTHENTIC selves. We want you to find your niche--because when you LOVE what you do, that's where THE BEST work happens. We want you to ask your questions. We want you to talk about when personal things start popping up (because they will) and you need to process how to reconcile that with your professional work.

We strive to create a laid-back, family-like atmosphere among our staff, where autonomy and self-care are strongly encouraged. We have a strong workplace culture that values mutual respect and professionalism, but also this crazy idea that you can have FUN while doing good work. Open Space CCW is a LGBTQIA+ affirming, relationship minority affirming, and racial justice-oriented therapy group. Join our growing team!

Interns at Open Space CCW have the opportunity to:

  • Receive 1 hour of individual supervision per week.

  • Attend weekly group supervision with intern colleagues.

  • Attend bi-weekly group supervision with our clinical team.

  • Observe individual, relationship, family and group therapy sessions.

  • Plan, develop and facilitate their own group therapy groups, including conducting needs assessments and learning how to market their group.

  • Attend our bimonthly staff meetings.

  • Attend any staff-wide trainings and continuing education events that are held.

  • Participate in our bimonthly social team events.

  • Create in-office, telehealth or hybrid schedules (as their program allows), in both our East End and Wexford locations.

  • And of course... facilitate their own individual, relationship, family and group therapy sessions.
