Who I Help
I'm a LGBTQIA+ and relationship affirming therapist. I have extensive experience working with clients who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and may be struggling with their gender and/or sexual identity--or maybe not. Sometimes, clients are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and can't currently identify any concerns surrounding that--they just want to know that they can walk into a room and don't have to play the "pronoun game", pretend they only have one partner, or have to listen to someone minimize their relationship, sexuality, or gender dysphoria.

I also specialize in working with those struggling with identity exploration (of all kinds), gender identity and sexuality, anxiety and panic, relationship issues, marriage/separation/divorce, personality disorders (specifically BPD). I work with folks dealing with issues surrounding Bipolar Disorder, interpersonal violence, relationship identity/exploration (i.e. open relationships), infidelity, family conflict, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, peer relationships, and attachment issues.
I am here, above all, to be your biggest advocate. I offer a radically accepting space to confront, question, and explore what makes us who we are. I’m not afraid to talk about the hard things--sex, intimacy, relationships, trauma… this is your space to let it all out. I integrate a variety of approaches while utilizing humor and pulling from my own personal experiences when appropriate (and when given permission).
Everyone deserves a place they feel safe to be themselves--laughing, cursing, crying...
And I'll be right there along with you.
It's incredibly important to me that I provide a a safe, inclusive space where you can explore your identity and demolish any barriers in your path that are getting in the way of you being your MOST authentic self. Additionally, I am able to write letters for gender affirming surgeries and have experience doing so.
I feel so grateful to have the privilege of working with such amazing, inspiring, and strong people and to be a witness to their growth and resilience. I love what I do.
What Can You Expect?
I have a variety of diverse life experiences that have provided me with a deep sense of empathy and understanding. My approach to therapy is realistic, down to earth, and centered around what works for YOU.
Are your feelings best expressed through your favorite song lyrics? Do you need a listening ear to help you process that "pros and cons" list forming in your notes app about your relationship? I'll meet you where you're at--in this moment--and we'll figure this therapy thing out together.
I utilize an eclectic approach. You are the expert here. I acknowledge that you are walking into this therapy room with experiences I don't yet fully understand, sometimes including experiences with prior therapists. Depending on what works for you (and what doesn't), our sessions can include open relaxed dialogue, music therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), feminist, existential, and mindfulness approaches.
