Who I Help

You're so tired of arriving to therapy in "parts"--tell them this, don't tell them that, definitely don't tell them THAT... You are ready to show up as your full self, but it's also a terrifying thought so you hesitate to take that first step. What you DO know, however, is that you can't keep going like you have. It's stressful, and you're tired. You are ready to move from feeling like you're merely surviving to feeling like you are finally LIVING. During moments of struggle, we can decide to continue to suffer or launch into a new path towards healing.

And you don't have to do it all alone.

I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, including those struggling with gender identity and sexuality. I also specialize in depression, anxiety/panic, trauma and PTSD, stress management, and self-esteem. I also work with those struggling with eating disorders, chronic illness/pain, racial identity, relationship issues, and interpersonal violence.

What Can you Expect?

I am a LGBTQIA+ affirming, relationship affirming (i.e. CNM), and social justice-oriented therapist. I function from a fat acceptance/HAES model. I'm a Master's-level clinician, as well as a doctoral student at Carlow University, working towards my Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology. My academic work and clinical experience has always been social justice-oriented and driven. This passion is truly inherent to me.

I strive to create an affirming environment that honors ALL parts of oneself and empowers you to make positive changes and grow towards your authentic self. I want this to be the place that you can finally--finally--show up, find unwavering support, and live the life you have always wanted to live.

We may find ourselves in a conflict, whether it be struggling with relationships that matter to us, feeling “stuck,” “off,” or even “trapped.” The ability to repair and grow ourselves and our relationships with others involves a particular type of endeavor. Psychotherapy provides the space and ability to discover insights that aid us toward engaging and becoming the most authentic versions of ourselves.

I find so much joy in listening to others' stories and experiences through finding out what makes you uniquely you! In that process, I enjoy helping others heal and grow from past and present difficult experiences, aiding you in your journey to becoming your authentic self and being more content and happy. I strive to make the therapy room a comfortable and affirming space to be able to do that.

Some of this will be hard. Some of this will be challenging. But the beauty of this process is that on the other side, you will find true engagement with the world around you and a life you feel like you are finally showing up for--in whatever way YOU want that to be. And I'd be honored to be a part of that journey.
