I show up in the therapy room as authentically myself–a human being who understands life's complexities because I've navigated many of them personally. I became a therapist later in life, returning to graduate school at 47 to pursue my lifelong dream after my own divorce. My child and I have both faced mental illness and trauma, and those experiences taught me the profound importance of having someone who truly listens without judgment. I believe you deserve acceptance no matter who you were, who you are, or who you want to become.
It’s so beautiful to be able to share in both the joys and sorrows with a client, holding some of those emotions for them when we're in the room together.
I believe you deserve acceptance no matter who you were, who you are, or who you want to become.
You'll never have to worry about offending me or being judged. I create a space where you can talk about anything in a welcoming, safe environment built on honesty and direct conversation.
I've been practicing since 2006, and I bring enormous life experience to our work together. I'm bisexual, married to my wife, and we're both "the moms" to our 45-year-old non-binary child who's an actor. Our household includes four cats and our child's Great Dane, Waldo. I have a sense of humor and will challenge you when you're ready for it–always with respect and care.
You deserve to be heard, respected, and given the time you need to heal and grow.

I believe we need to get to know each other before diving into your trauma work–building that foundation of trust is essential to me. Whatever you name as traumatic, I will honor as your truth. You'll never worry about me comparing your experiences to anyone else's, because your trauma is yours alone.
As a Board Certified EMDR Therapist, I've been practicing and presenting on EMDR therapy for years. Not just because of my professional training, but because I've witnessed its profound impact firsthand–both in my own healing journey and in my work with clients.
I understand what it feels like to hear about EMDR for the first time and have questions about how this approach works. I completely welcome your skepticism, confusion, and questions–they're all completely normal parts of this process. I’ll take time to explain how EMDR works and what you can expect, and you can decide if you feel it may be right for you.
My priority is ensuring you feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely heard. Your healing matters, and you deserve to feel safe as we navigate this work together.

I understand how isolating and confusing it can feel when you're experiencing domestic or interpersonal violence. Whether it's physical, emotional, verbal, or psychological abuse, your experience is valid and you deserve support. I know that leaving isn't always simple or safe, and I will never pressure you to make decisions before you're ready.
As someone who was in an abusive marriage for 23 years, I bring both professional training and personal understanding to this work. If it’s helpful to you, I can bring my lived experience into the room with your permission. I know how difficult it can be to leave, and I understand the particular pain of emotional and psychological abuse that others can't always see. I also know that healing and trusting again is possible because I've experienced that journey myself.
In our work together, I focus on helping you rebuild your sense of self and trust in your own perceptions. We'll work at your pace to identify patterns, develop safety strategies, and strengthen your support system. You are the expert on your own life–my role is to provide a safe space where you can process your experiences without judgment.
Your safety and healing are my priority. Together, we'll work toward helping you reclaim your voice, rebuild your confidence, and create the life you deserve.

I believe that sexuality, gender, and relationships come in many forms, and my role is to support you in exploring what feels authentic and fulfilling for you. Whether you're questioning your sexual identity, gender identity, navigating relationship dynamics, or working through sexual concerns, you'll find a completely judgment-free space with me.
I work with individuals and partners across the full spectrum of sexual and relationship identities–including those who are bisexual, pansexual, polyamorous, kink, or exploring any other consensual expressions of sexuality. Your relationships are valid.
My approach is grounded in the belief that sexual health and satisfaction are important parts of overall wellbeing. We'll work together to address any shame, anxiety, or confusion you might be experiencing around your sexuality, gender, or relationships. You deserve to feel confident and comfortable in your own skin.
Together, we'll create a space where you can explore your questions, your goals, and your concerns without fear of judgment.
