MSW, LSW | Therapist
she / her

My path to social work began in the classroom, where I spent years as a teacher witnessing the resilience, courage, and complexity people carry with them every day. Those experiences deepened my understanding of how much our pasts shape our present—and inspired me to walk alongside others more directly in their healing. My own lived experience navigating complex family structures—divorced parents, step-parents, and full and half siblings—has given me insight into how confusing, painful, and isolating these dynamics can be. Becoming a therapist allowed me to honor people’s stories, empower their growth, and support them in reclaiming their strength and voice.

As a sober therapist who identifies as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I know what it means to do hard, courageous work in pursuit of authenticity and alignment.

I’m LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, and relationship affirming, and I’m sex-positive in my approach. My goal is to offer a space where every part of your identity is respected, celebrated, and welcomed.

My work is guided by authenticity, equity, compassion, and empowerment. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you are safe, seen, and fully respected for who you are. I bring both professional training and lived experience to this work, which allows me to connect holistically and meet clients where they are. I hold a nonjudgmental, open-minded stance and value radical self-care, collaboration, and honoring each person’s unique path toward healing.

In our work together, you can expect me to show up with kindness, openness, and consistency. I’ll meet you exactly where you are—without judgment—and walk beside you at your own pace. My role isn’t to “fix” you, but to help you see your strengths, explore your choices, and feel empowered to build a life that feels aligned and self-defined. Together, we’ll create a space that centers your voice, your goals, and your healing—because you deserve care that sees and honors all of who you are.

Specialties

  • In our work together, you can expect me to show up with empathy, consistency, and zero judgment. Your safety—both emotional and physical—is my top priority. I take a trauma-informed, survivor-centered approach that emphasizes stabilization, empowerment, and restoring autonomy at your pace.

I view intimate partner and interpersonal violence as forms of complex trauma that can deeply impact your emotional, physical, and relational well-being. Healing from that kind of pain takes time, and you won’t have to do it alone. Together, we’ll create a plan that centers your safety, builds support, and helps you reconnect with a sense of control and self-trust.

My approach integrates trauma-informed modalities such as CBT, EMDR, mindfulness-based techniques, and safety planning. I also help connect clients with advocacy and community supports to reduce isolation and strengthen resources outside of therapy. With specialized training in trauma-informed care, domestic violence advocacy, and evidence-based therapies, I’m committed to creating a space that honors your resilience, your story, and your right to safety and healing.

  • In the therapy room, you can expect me to show up with compassion, openness, and a nonjudgmental stance. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe exploring both your challenges and your strengths—without fear of shame or judgment.

I view substance use as a coping strategy that can, over time, develop into a cycle of dependence often linked to trauma, stress, or unmet needs. Together, we’ll work to understand those roots while building healthier, more sustainable ways to cope.

My approach is collaborative and person-centered, guided by evidence-based methods such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based relapse prevention, and harm reduction strategies. We’ll develop a plan that focuses on reducing harm, preventing relapse, and supporting your recovery at your own pace.

In addition to my lived experience as a sober person, I bring training in addiction counseling, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring disorders, as well as direct experience supporting individuals and families navigating recovery. Whether you’re taking your first step or continuing your journey, you’ll have a partner who meets you where you are—with respect, empathy, and genuine belief in your capacity to heal.

  • In therapy, I show up with warmth, patience, and an unwavering commitment to safety and trust-building—because I know how essential these are when healing from childhood trauma or abuse. Whether I’m working with children, survivors, or families, my focus is always on creating a space where safety comes first and your story is honored at your own pace.

I use trauma-informed approaches such as play therapy, CBT, EMDR, and attachment-based interventions, adapting each session to developmental needs and readiness. I view childhood abuse as a profound trauma that can impact self-worth, relationships, and emotional regulation. Together, we’ll work toward strengthening resilience, developing healthy coping strategies, and restoring a sense of safety and connection—both with yourself and others.

My background includes training in trauma-focused CBT, child advocacy and protection, and evidence-based trauma therapies. I also bring direct experience supporting children and families impacted by abuse through clinical practice and multidisciplinary collaboration. My goal is to provide a safe, steady space where healing, hope, and self-trust can begin to grow.
