My journey to becoming a therapist is rooted in witnessing the profound resilience of the human spirit. What draws me most to this work is seeing the transformation that unfolds when people begin to view themselves through a lens of possibility rather than limitation. I believe deeply in our capacity to change, learn, and growโ€”even after our most difficult experiences have convinced us otherwise. This belief isn't just professional; it's personal, shaped by my own journey of discovering that we're never as stuck or broken as we might feel.

Therapy, for me, is about creating a space where you can reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been buried, silenced, or forgotten. It's where insight meets action, where self-awareness blooms into self-compassion, and where you remember that you've always had the capacity for healing within you.

My work is grounded in authenticity, equity, compassion, and empowerment. I believe healing happens when you feel genuinely safe, respected, and understoodโ€”without judgment, without rushing, without pretense.

Iโ€™m LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, and relationship affirming therapist. I approach our work together from a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens, honoring how personal history, relationships, identity, and systems impact mental health. I value nervous system regulation and radical self-care as essential components of sustainable healing, not just temporary relief.

In our sessions, you can expect me to show up as a real humanโ€”with authenticity, warmth, and yes, appropriate humor when it serves you. I believe genuine connection is the bedrock of therapeutic work, and sometimes a moment of shared laughter can make difficult conversations feel more approachable. I'll bring my full presence, clinical expertise, and unwavering belief in your capacity for growth. But more than anything, I'll bring my commitment to creating a space where you feel safe to be exactly who you are while exploring who you're becoming.

My role isn't to fix you or tell you who to be. It's to walk alongside you as you develop deeper self-awareness, build resilience, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. Together, we'll work at your pace, honor your expertise in your own lived experiences, and collaborate to create meaningful, lasting change. Because you deserve support that sees all of youโ€”and believes in all you can become.

Specialties

  • In our work together, you can expect me to show up with compassion, collaboration, and unwavering belief in your inherent worth. I create a supportive therapeutic space where we can explore the roots of self-doubt without judgment or rushing toward quick fixes.

I view challenges with self-worth as often rooted in life experiences, relationships, and trauma rather than personal shortcomings. The critical voice in your head? It didn't start with youโ€”it's an echo of messages you received when you were too young to question them. Together, we'll trace these patterns back to their source and begin to separate what was put on you from who you actually are.

My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral strategies to challenge negative thought patterns, relational-cultural perspectives to understand how connections shape self-concept, somatic techniques to reconnect with your body's wisdom, and trauma-informed care to honor how past experiences impact present self-worth. We'll work at an intentional pace, building self-compassion brick by brick, and developing a more authentic and stable sense of self that isn't dependent on external validation. Through this work, you'll develop the kind of self-worth that stays steady even when life isn'tโ€”rooted in who you are, not what you do.

  • You can expect me to show up with compassion, nonjudgmental support, and deep respect for the complexity of your journey. I offer an emotionally safe space for navigating these significant life transitionsโ€”whether you're grieving what hasn't happened, adjusting to what is happening, or recovering from what has happened.

I approach this work through a trauma-informed, relational, and somatic lens, understanding that the perinatal period can surface profound joy, devastating loss, and everything in betweenโ€”sometimes all at once. I have specific expertise in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), including postpartum anxiety, depression, and the adjustment challenges that no one warns you about. Your experience is valid whether this is your first pregnancy, your fifth loss, or anywhere along the fertility spectrum.

My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral strategies to address racing thoughts and overwhelm, nervous system regulation to help your body find calm in the chaos, and relational support to combat the isolation these experiences often bring. We'll work with the anxiety, grief, and identity shifts that can feel overwhelmingโ€”at a collaborative, intentional pace that honors your unique experience. Together, we'll build emotional resilience and self-compassion during this raw and real time, helping you trust yourself even when everything feels uncertain.

  • When we meet, you can expect me to show up with empathy, patience, and absolutely no judgment about where you are right now. I provide a supportive space where you're understoodโ€”not rushed, not pushed to "think positive," not told you should be grateful for what you have.

I view depression as a complex experience influenced by emotional, relational, biological, and environmental factorsโ€”never as personal weakness or failure. Depression isn't who you are; it's something you're moving through. Sometimes it's your body and mind's way of saying "I can't carry all of this anymore," and that's okay. We'll honor what the depression might be protecting you from while gently working toward something different.

My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral strategies to address the self-criticism that keeps you stuck, relational-cultural therapy to rebuild connection when isolation feels safer, somatic techniques to help you reconnect when numbness takes over, and trauma-informed care that recognizes how past wounds can manifest as present-day depression. Together, we'll focus on increasing self-compassion (especially on the hard days), strengthening coping skills that actually work for your life, and slowly restoring a sense of meaning and connection. We'll move at your paceโ€”because healing from depression isn't about forcing yourself to feel better, it's about creating space for all of your feelings while building toward emotional stability and a life that feels worth living again.
